     Henry Jesse Flint was born on 6 April 1835 at Canajoharie, Montgomery County, New York.2,1 He was the son of Alvah Flint and Elizabeth Cross.1

Henry Jesse Flint was 6 years old, when his father, Alvah Flint, died on 20 December 1841.3,4

Henry Jesse Flint lived on 15 December 1853 at West Troy, Albany County, New York.5

Henry Jesse Flint married Harriet Blaxure, daughter of Richard Blaxure, circa 1854.6

Henry Jesse Flint began military service on 8 August 1862 at Lake Station, Lake County, Indiana, He joined Company M of the 1st Illinois Light Artillery regiment for period of 3 years. Henry was described as 5' 7 1/2" tall; with brown hair, hazel eyes and a fair complexion; being born in New York around 1835 and with a current occupation of Rail Roader. He was mustered in at Chicago on 12 Aug 1862.9

Henry Jesse Flint ended military service on 24 July 1865 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, He was mustered out by Captain Hill.9

Enumerated as 21 Year or older male citizen.. Also enumerated in the household were Harriet Blaxure and Jesse Flint.10

S. census for 714 East 14th Street, Davenport, Scott County, Iowa as Henry J Flint, 45 years old, Married, birthplace of New York, occupation of Policeman. Father born in New York. Mother born in New York.. Also enumerated in the household were Harriet Flint and Jesse Flint.11
