On 25 June 1860 Franky Abernathy was enumerated in the household of Francis Bird on the 1860 U. S. census for Catoosa County, Georgia as F Bird, 70 years old, birthplace of Virginia Also enumerated in the household were Frances Bird.3

Franky Abernathy died in May 1864.2

Franky Abernathy was buried at Lee's Chapel, Catoosa Springs, Catoosa County, Georgia, in an unmarked grave.2
